Thank you for your interest in our 'Expense Paid Graduate Student Visit Program'. Our purpose is to highlight and promote the opportunities for advanced study at Biological Systems Engineering to uniquely well qualified seniors and graduate students who are attending an accredited college or university in the United States. We conduct this program in a manner identical to the recruitment of new faculty. Your application is reviewed and based on your qualifications, goals, and the needs of the department, you may be invited to visit the WSU campus (expenses paid) to evaluate and be evaluated for admission into our graduate program.

Again we need to emphasize that you are not making a formal application to our graduate program.

Procedure:

Please provide the following information. All information can be mailed, faxed, or sent as an electronic mail attachment (preferred) to our department. We prefer Adobe (xxxx.pdf) followed by Microsoft Word formats for electronic submissions.

1. Transcripts of your undergraduate and current graduate academic work (unofficial copies are acceptable for this visit)..

2. Recommendation form and a personal letter of recommendation from at least one faculty member. Please download and print the recommendation form to give to the person writing your recommendation. This form should be filled out by your referee and sent along with their formal letter of recommendation on University/Company letterhead. Please have these documents sent via electronic mail followed by a signed copy sent by regular mail.

3. Personal letter or statement of Intent. This is approximately a one page essay stating your academic goals while at WSU and your career goals upon graduation.

4. One copy of your Resume.
