The goal of the Washington State University Agricultural Research Center (ARC), and the Agricultural Experiment Station of the State of Washington, is to promote research beneficial to the citizens of Washington.

The ARC recognizes its unique land-grant research mission to the people of Washington. The ARC provides leadership in discovering and accessing knowledge through high-quality research that contributes to the safe, abundant food and fiber supply; promotes the well-being of individuals, families, and communities; enhances sustainability of agricultural and economic systems; and promotes stewardship of natural resources and ecological systems.
