SAS Installation
Background:
Through the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) members of Biological Systems Engineering department have access to the SAS Statistical Package.
The licenses and the number of concurrent users is controled by the college. If you attempt to connect and are blocked, contact the CAHNRS Computer Support Group .
Requirements:
You must be a member of CAHNRS (BSysE).
You must have Administrative Access to your computer.
You must know your NETWORK ID and password.
New Install Start:
Connect to the \\cru20\sas server share via the 'Start / Run' command as follows:

You will probably see a logon window. Using your NETWORK ID, log on as follows:
Logon: ad\xxxxx ‘where xxxxx is your NETWORK ID
Pass: yyyyyy ‘where yyyyy is your NETWORK ID password.
You should see:

Next, navigate to the <914x> directory and double click <Setup>:

Follow all the default settings.
I recommend you reboot your computer after installation.
NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT PART:
You need to reconnect to the \\cru20\SAS server share before you run SAS
You do this by double clicking <Network Places> and adding a new network share:




Change name to something shorter and more understandable like:


Try and launch SAS.
