Video Conference
Ref: AMS (formerly WECN) Video Conference Home
Setting up a video conference is a four step process.
- Schedule and reserve the room you wish to use via the BSysE SharePoint Site. If you going to have people call in then you will want to request LJSmith 263 and you will need to setup a telephone conference.
- Schedule the conference with Academic Media Services. If other campuses or individuals and entities outside the WSU system are involved, you will need to have AMS coordinate their connection to the WSU video conference system. The form will have a comment box for this. Give as much info as possible.
- Understand that though it 'appears' you are communicating directly to a distant site, both sites are communicating with a central server.
- Familiarize yourself with the video conference equipment at least one hour before your performance. We have four rooms with slightly different versions of video conference equipment. Directions and instruction are available and are best experienced long before the room starts filling up with people.
The video conference HELP hot line is 509-335-6575.
