About Dr. Gaylon Campbell:

Dr. Gaylon Campbell has been Vice President and Engineer for Decagon Devices, Inc. since 1998. He is also an emeritus professor at Washington State University having served twenty eight years as a Professor of Soils and Soil Scientist. Dr. Campbell also served in the U.S. Army as a Captain working in the Atmospheric Sciences Lab at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

Dr. Campbell's research interests include the Mathematical modeling of soil-plant-atmosphere systems, computer simulation of organism-environment interaction, design of environmental instrumentation, heat and mass transport in the soil and the atmospheric boundary layer, soil-plant water relations, soil and water management.

This interest has led to three books, ninety refereed technical papers, fifteen computer models and three patents.

Dr. Campbell received his Ph.D. in Soils from Washington State University and his bachelor and master degrees from Utah State university in Logan, Utah.
